Critical Error When Adding/Editing User

  • When I add a new user or edit the roles on an existing user, I’m receiving this message, “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” Interestingly in the case of the add, that still appears to work. However, the edit does not. When I deactivate the plugin I’m able to add/edit users without issue.

    Could you ask your hosting for checking PHP error logs, so we can have more details about the cause of this critical error?

    The cause of this might be some plugin/theme conflict, so you could deactivate all your plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate all plugins one by one to see which one causes that issue. You can also switch the current theme to the default WordPress theme temporarily and see if this helps.
