Critical Error – Uncaught Exception ‘firstName’ is required.

    Hi all,

    We seem to be having an issue but only with some donations. Some users report seeing “critical error” when trying to donate. Other donations go thru fine.

    When we look at the logs, we are seeing several errors like this:
    Error: Uncaught Exception – Give Core – 2024-06-12 20:35:32 – ‘firstName’ is required.

    In the php error log we see this:
    [12-Jun-2024 20:35:32 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Give\Framework\Exceptions\Primitives\InvalidArgumentException: ‘firstName’ is required. in /home/customer/www/kolbecaths.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give/src/Donors/Repositories/DonorRepository.php:328

    We are on Version 3.12.2 of GiveWP, WordPress 6.5.4. This seems to have started last month.

    Thanks for any thoughts on what we can try to resolve this error.

    We’ve seen this issue before but we were never able to replicate it. We would like to dig deeper to understand what is happening.
