Critical Error Message when activating or deleting JetPack Boost.

I have installed the JetPack Boost plugin, but when I try to activate it, I get this message “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error.”
So I tried to delete it so I could reinstall it, and it says it can’t be deleted because it will cause a fatal error.

So I contacted my host, DreamHost, for support and this is what they told me:

I tried manually activating the plugin but its giving me the same error as a workaround we can renamed the current plugin folder for you to re-install the plugin. Will that work for you? At the moment, the main issue is a missing core file from the plugin. We are not sure how the plugin was downloaded or installed but the fact that the system is not built to delete your WordPress content there is a possibility that there is a corrupted file within the file structure of the plugin causing the plugin to have this issue. To know more about what caused the problem, kindly provide the full error to the plugin provider so that they can review this further. In terms of installing the plugin as a workaround, it would be best to have the main folder plugin renamed so that you can have a fresh install to test.

It’s a new website, it just went live last month, so I’d really like to get this fixed, or be able to delete the plugin at the very least, so that I can move forward ensuring no more critical errors.
