Critical Error Message after upload themes and edit general_template.php

  • Hi, I really need help now. My Website really can’t be opened.

    I am actually just upload things that not supposed in theme folder via Cpanel from my host admin, and then I edit some things in general_template.php for changing wp_head ‘do action’ because I want to implement hamburger menu that I got from https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/animated-hamburger-icon/
    this topic.

    In short way, I already turn back all of it in the first set and also follow instruction from other post about critical error in changing plugin folder name and return it back, and still no anything change. Do some debugging things but no hope.

    Please help, because I don’t want to revert back all my work now and haven’t make any backup yet.

  • you should rename the theme folder, not the plugin folder.

    Rename your theme folder then upload the default theme folder from WordPress installation file.

    @lcf already tried it, still happening… I change the theme already, not sure and that still not working
