    Hi,

I found that my website got ‘There has been a critical error on this website’ when activating the Happy Elementor Addons plugin.

So I have deactivated this plugin. I want to reactivate that plugin without any errors. Please help me to resolve the issue.

    Thanks in advance!

  • I just updated Happy Addons to newest version and also received a critical error.

Here is the error (translated from polish):
The E_PARSE error was caused on line 110 of the [hidden path for security]/wp-content/plugins/happy-elementor-addons/extensions/scroll-to-top-kit-settings.php file. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’

    WordPress version 6.0.3
    Theme: Rife Pro (wersja 2.4.14.1)
    Happy Elementor Addons (3.7.1)
    PHP: 7.2.6

Hello. I had the same problem, but only for one of my servers (this plugin is in multiple website in multiple of my servers).

My servers have not the same PHP Version.
I think this error on line 110 is triggered only on specific versions of PHP.
To remove the error, i deleted the ‘,’ on line 110.

    Hi @goldgothe @tymonello @indiastartup360,

    Thanks for the acknowledgment.

We are investigating the issue that you have shared. You will be notified after the workaround.

For now, in order to avoid the error, you can roll back to the previous version temporarily.

    Thank you.

@goldgothe is correct. The error is being caused by the extra comma at the end of the argument list, which is supported by newer PHP versions but not older ones.

    Here’s the relevant documentation, I think: https://wiki.php.net/rfc/trailing_comma_in_parameter_list

    Hi.
I also have the same problem. The latest update to 3.7.1 crashed the site and I had to deactivate the plugin.
Can you provide instructions on how to roll back to the prior version? And do you have a fix in the works? Thanks

@ramyos – If you’re able to update your site to PHP 7.4 or 8.0 or 8.1, then that should fix the issue.

Otherwise, you can remove the trailing comma from line 110 of /wp-content/plugins/happy-elementor-addons/extensions/scroll-to-top-kit-settings.php and then avoid updating the plugin until the developer removes it from the next version.

    Hi there,

The Syntax Error you are getting is mainly displayed for the unsupported PHP arguments. If you use the PHP version of your site v7.4 or higher then the error won’t appear again.

Those who ever want to use the below v7.4 or lower version of the PHP then you can get the fixed version of HappyAddons from here.

    Thank you.
