I got the critical error issue after our hosting site updated the php. I know it’s this plugin because network deactivating it stopped the error, and when I tried to reactivate it, it said the plugin gave a critical error. Will there be a fix for this eventually?

Came back to add – this is PHP 8.2 it’s not working with, this is also a multisite and the issue initially seemed to only affect the subsites (which is why I was able to network deactivate it).

    Hi,
We need to know what is the php fatal error you got because without is impossible to me to be able to investigate and do eventually a fix.

I’m not sure what you mean. It’s the standard “there has been a critical error on your website”. The same thing showing up on every website page.

Yes but when that happens there is a real error generated with more information.
Usually this behavior can be configured to show more details about what happened.

Also hosting providers often gather those information but on the link above you can find everything about it.

    Hello,

I had to reactivate the plugin to get this error. On the website it’s:

I also downloaded the debug log and the php_errorlog that is separate (but has a lot of error logs from tooltip). Let me know if either or both of those would be helpful.

As you can see none of those errors are generated from our plugin.

Maybe you confused enhanced tool top glossary with our plugin that is just glossary.

I don’t know what you want me to say. This error only occurs when trying to network activate CM Tooltip Glossary. I’m not getting the plugin name incorrect, and we don’t have an Enhanced Tooltip Glossary installed. I would assume that, at some point, someone called CM Tooltip Glossary or maybe a certain part of it “enhanced-tooltip-glossary” in some code, but I’m not a dev.

    Thread Starter mhall123

    (@mhall123)

It looks like it’s called enhanced tooltip glossary on GitHub https://github.com/creativemindsplugins/enhanced-tooltipglossary so I assume the two are synonyms.

We are not CM Tooltip Glossary, we are Glossary.

That one is another plugin not us.

I see, alright thank you and apologies for the confusion
