After today’s update (March, 25th) our site shows critical error. WordPress sent us an email in which it says the reason of this error is FV Player. We switched it off and everything went back to normal. Please inspect this last update. We’ve been using FV Player for many years and getting rid of the plugin would cause real mess on our site. We think it has something to do with https and ssl certificates.

  • Hello jfk65,

the email which you got should provide some details. There should be a name of the file along with the exact line what triggered the error.

Could you please have a look?

We run tests on PHP 8.0, 7.1, 7.3 and even 5.2 – what PHP version are you using?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello jfk65,

I see that the dirname() levels argument is only supported since PHP 7.0. Our code check with PHP 5.2 didn’t notice this issue unfortunately and I totally overlooked this, although I do remember checking if that function supports the second argument in PHP < 7.

I’m sorry about the inconvenience. If you try to install the plugin from www.remarpro.com now it will work.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello,

I reinstalled the plugin and it seems to be okay now. I haven’t noticed any strange behaviour. Thank you.
