There is a bug. jetpack caused this error:

I see Jetpack errors in the php log:
[17-Dec-2023 11:11:05 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Automattic\Jetpack\Extensions\Premium_Content\Subscription_Service\Token_Subscription_Service’ not found in /home/virtualmin/richardsilverstein.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/subscriptions/subscribe-modal/class-jetpack-subscribe-modal.php:193

I could only access my home page. Links to all individual blog posts generated a critical error msg. Deactivating Jetpack returned function to normal.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @richards1052

Since your report, we have released a new version of Jetpack. Could you please reinstall Jetpack and let us know if you continue to see this error?

You can follow these steps to do that:

    1. Start at PluginsInstalled Plugins.
    2. If Jetpack is currently active, click Deactivate to disable it. Then click Delete to remove it from your site:
    3. Go to Plugins  → Add New.
    4. Search for “Jetpack – WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth”.
    5. Click Install and then Activate.

When Jetpack is installed, click the green Set up Jetpack button to reconnect.

This handy guide explains that process in more detail:

You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here.

    its working fine now

but all jet pack stats are empty.

Not only are past site stats not displaying. It’s not displaying site stats since I installed the updated plugin version.

@lastsplash: Now the site stats have resumed. But there are no stats for the period when I had the plugin deactivated due to the bug (Dec 12-31). You indicated that these stats are maintained on your server. Is there any way to retrieve/restore them?

    Hi @richards1052,

Really sorry for the confusion here. When we said “You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here” we just meant that disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack should not cause you to lose any stats that Jetpack has already captured.

However, because Jetpack was not connected to your site for those days between 12-31 December, we were not able to gather this data in the first place.

I’m sorry about that! I’m happy the connection has been resolved and you’ve been able to retrieve most of your stats. Hopefully there will be no futher issues going forward.
