    Hi There

After clicking proceed to submit your price request my site shows a critical error screen. Behind the scenes only the request confirmation email is sent, but the email advising the store of the request is not generated.

I’ve deactivated all but the most critical plugins uninstalled deleted and then reinstalled NP Quote Request WooCommerce all with no change.

The site still goes into a critical errors once the submit your price request is clicked.

I am hoping that you can advise what could be causing the problem.

    Thank You

    Regards
    Kim

We need to get the error report first. Please enable WordPress debug. You can read
How to turn on debugging and log the messages in WordPress to enable debug.

After debug is enabled, try creating a quote request. then look for the debug.log in wp-content folder. We should be able to find what is causing the error then.

Also what version of PHP are you using? we have tested up to 7.4.
We will test for 8 next month.

Thank you for getting back to me.

    The error is as follows.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘ve’ (T_STRING), expecting ‘)’ in /home/cableiah/public_html/2022/wp-content/themes/cable-connection-child/woocommerce/emails/admin-new-rfq.php on line 22

Also I am using PHP Version 7.4

Hope the above information is what you needed.

Also, I’ve noticed that when I’m logged in viewing the list takes me to the my quote page. But If I’m not logged in it takes me to the WooCommerce cart page. Is there a place I can find documentation on the proper way to set up this plugin?

1 the first thread critical error:
line 22 is the customer’s full billing name. I don’t think it has happened before.
Does the name have any special characters in it? you can email the info to [email protected]

2: “when I’m logged in viewing the list takes me to the my quote page. But If I’m not logged in it takes me to the WooCommerce cart page.”

this should only happen if you have the setting, “4- Hide Prices from Visitors For Quote Request” checked. If you are logged in you can buy through WooCommerce and submit quote requests from the quote request page. If you are a visitor(not logged in) then you can only submit quote requests( you can’t see prices) and you can submit at WooCommerce checkout. This setting is usually for sites that allow purchases only for pre-approved customers.
