• I am getting a critical error message on a post due to a conflict with the Grow social plugin. I have disabled the plugin and it’s resolved. The problem does seem to be restricted to one recently republished post.

    From my host…

Its caused by Grow Social plugin. Here are the error logs:

    Is there a solution?

  • Hey @lynmc1,

Thanks so much for reaching out to us about this! If at all possible, would you be able to send over a URL to that specific post? Additionally, are you seeing this on the latest 1.20.0 update?

    Hi! Thanks for the reply!

    It is this url https://cookeatlivelove.com/making-whole-grain-protein-bowls-for-lunch-on-the-go/

Yes is with the 1.20.0 update.

    Thanks!

    Hey @lynmc1.

You’re very welcome and sorry for the delay — I was discussing this issue with our engineers. After taking a look on our end, we think this might be due to something either serializing, or serialized, the data from Grow Social.

Just to give things a shot, would you be able to try refreshing the share counts specifically for this post? You should be able to do this by editing the post and at the bottom of the post editor you should see a Grow: Share Statistics advanced panel. You’ll just want to give the Refresh Shares button a click.

Let us know if that does the trick!

Thanks again for all the follow-up! I do not see an advanced Grow section at the bottom of my post. I am using the free version of the plugin — not sure if that makes a difference.

    Hey @lynmc1,

That’s definitely pretty peculiar as you should have the option as well in the free version of the plugin.

I took another look on my side of things and it appears that the refresh shares option isn’t available in the latest 1.20.0 release of the plugin when it should be so I went ahead and reached out to our plugin developers to let them know about this potential bug.

That being the case, would you be able to try rolling back the plugin to the previous version (1.19.2)? You should then see the options there to refresh the shares once done and we can see if that does the trick.

Alternatively, if you’d like, we’d be more than happy to assist with this if you want to shoot us an email at [email protected]. Just mention we were working together on the support forums here and we’ll be happy to continue the conversation there!
