    Hello,

I am having an error for a few days saying :

“The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

And the received email says :

“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Popup Builder.”

    WordPress version 5.3
Current theme: Soledad Child Theme (version )
Current plugin: Popup Builder (version 3.51)
    PHP version 7.1.33

I have disabled the plugin and the site works fine now. Do you have a fix for this issue?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

As said earlier, I’ve already done that.

    Can you help?

    Dear @vladnice,

This case is not possible theoretically.
If the plugin is deactivated, the codes can’t just run on their own in case it hasn’t been activated again after our mentioned steps.
There are no exceptions actually, the codes of an inactive plugin do not work – this is how WordPress works.

Please, make sure the plugin is deactivated (sorry for repeating, but that’s what makes sense).

And to be more sure that it’s deactivated, connect via FTP and add “1” to our plugin’s folder name. This will for 101% deactivate the plugin.

Also don’t forget that inside the wp_options table, you need to remove the row where option_name=‘cron’ .

This will reset all cron jobs and then the plugins will re-generate their cron tabs.
