  • Same error here during update of AIO SEO:

Ein Fehler vom Typ E_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 1531 der Datei /www/htdocs/w0100b41/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/app/Common/Utils/Helpers.php verursacht. And furthermore: The “database migration” doesn’t come to an end!?

“All in One SEO is currently upgrading your database and migrating your SEO data in the background.”

Please give some advise what to do!

    Hey @tooni, @ianbrealey

    Thank you for reporting this.

We’re aware of the issue and are finalizing our fix for it as I speak. You can expect an update any time now. ??

    – Arnaud

@arnaudbroes – Thanks for addressing this so quickly. I also received critical errors. My errors are gone and I’m currently awaiting for the V3 -> V4 migration to complete.

Do you think it would be best for me to do a site restore prior to the 4.0.6 update from today, and wait for the update that you’re rolling out today? To be honest, I’m a bit concerned about those errors I received. Or are you confident that I can just sit tight with 4.0.6 and just upgrade to the version later today that will be released? Will those critical errors I received from the 4.0.6 update have any negative consequences?

    Thanks

    Hey @ianbrealey, @tooni, @boybawang,

Thank you for your patience! ??

We just released a new update that should fix this issue. Once you’ve updated, the migration will restart and the notice should go away once the migration is complete (this may take a while depending on how large your website is).

Let us know how it goes!

    – Arnaud

Thanks @arnaudbroes – Do I need to wait until the migration from 4.0.6 is complete before upgrading to 4.0.7?

Problems seem to be solved! There is no more error message and the migration finished after some time. So for now everything seems to be okay.

However, there is one strange thing: The migration told something about V3->V4.
I’m afraid, this was wrong, because I was already using AIO SEO version 4.0.5 before the problems occured.

    (@arnaudbroes)

@boybawang no need to wait. ??

@tooni awesome! We’re glad to hear that. Technically it is correct since the plugin is migrating your old data from V3 to V4, but I understand your point. ??

Thanks Arnaudbroes – I ended up doing a site restore back to when I using AIOSEOP 3.7.1. I’m going to wait a couple of more days before upgrading the plugin again, just in case there are other issues that need to be fixed. This seems like a major update.
