When creating a revision, I’m getting a critical error failure. Log shows:

An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 234 of the file /wp-content/plugins/revisionary/revisionary.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Failed opening required '/wp-content/plugins/revisionary/defaults_rvy.php' (include_path='.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php80/root/usr/share/pear') in /wp-content/plugins/revisionary/revisionary.php:234

Any idea what is causing this?

Updating to add that the revisions are actually being created and can be found in the Revision Queue, but clicking the New Revision link (from anywhere) gives the critical error notice. But there is more… As soon as the revision is updated but not published, it disappears from all of the lists of posts. If you have the URL of the revision you can access it, but it disappears from the revision queue and does not show up under Drafts (nor is it published or in the trash).

It seems that after clicking Update Revision, whatever indicates to the plugin that it was a revision goes poof, and the revision is published instead of just saved. That is why it isn’t in drafts, and when I was looking for it under Published, I was looking for an additional post and missed that it was updating the original despite the fact that Approve was not clicked. So revisions that were not approved were actually overwriting the original post and publishing.

    Hi @wearstoomanyhats

    Thanks for using PublishPress Revisions.

From the error, it seems some file are missing. Could you please delete the folder of PublishPress Revisions from your website and install the plugin again?

Let me know if the issue persists.

    Thanks,

Thank you for your reply, Riza. I discovered that this was actually the result of another plugin (Link Whisper) that did not clean up after itself when deleted. I reinstalled it, selected the option to delete all data and settings when deleting the plugin, deleted it again, and now the error is gone.
