• Hi Frank, after much struggling I realized CriticalCSS was causing major Pagespeed erratic scores with all the websites where it is enabled for months now, but oddly disabling it in the main settings doesn’t fix the issues, instead I had to remove the api key to get the website scores to behave normally in addition to disabling CCSS…

    I saw all CSS inlined on Otzerling when I looked into it yesterday, hence my rant ??

    re. Ligthouse on WPT; it’s 8.4.0 (see https://docs.webpagetest.org/running-lighthouse/, bottom of the page)

    Thats weird, and right now does it appear as all inline? looking into the code on my end it seems it is unless I’m reading it wrong..

    <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="https://www.otzerling.com/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_befcab3566af332a45ee73ed110af3de.css" onload="this.onload=null;this.media='all';">

    I do have CCSS enabled with “Inline all CSS?” disabled, so it shouldnt.

    looks like your page cache has a version with all CSS inlined still in cache, purge your page cache(s) and it should be CCSS instead indeed ??

    Thanks indeed I forgot to delete the Cache Enabler plugin’s cache, but shouldn’t it be automatically deleted by the plugin?

    On my portfolio site I’m getting good scores know 82 aprox in mobile, but didn’t do any optimization, so if I recap correctly the only thing I did was purging the “WP Cloudflare Super Page Cache” cache after some longer time since clearing AO’s cache.

    Let me see if doing the equivalent with Cache Enabler on Otzerling improves things as well

    Well I’m afraid I’m seeing all css loaded inside the style tag for otzerling :/

    Should had waited more time, scores are on the low again with CCSS, hence disabling it for now

    way too little info to be able give any serious feedback I’m afraid snippet24, as stated earlier I would need to be able to compare webpagetest test results. did in the end you remove fonts, as those were identified to be one of the root causes?

    Hi well I’m afraid I ended up disabling CCSS in both sites for the time being, in Otzerling it caused other issues as well like horizontal CLS for the bootstrap slider and I have little time now to further debug this problems, I don’t know really why all those issues are happening now and not before, the fonts where the same as before, anyways I will remove Fontawesome fonts replacing them by standalone svgs, thanks for all the advice and everything!!
