I cannot check the information on the messages in the dashboard because you have set it to require pro plugin to see that information. That is to say, you provide a link to see message information, but when clicking on that link a popup shows that I have to purchase the pro version in order to see that information. This is a limitation on the plugin which violates WP Plugin rules.

Plugins are supposed to be fully functional, not limited and requiring upgrades to be able to use all of the features that are shown. This is clear in the plugin guidelines.

“…you cannot “cripple” functionality in the plugin and then ask for payment or provide a code to unlock the functionality. All code hosted by www.remarpro.com servers must be free and fully-functional. If you want to sell advanced features for a plugin (such as a “pro” version), then you must sell and serve that code from your own site, we will not host it on our servers.”

Please fix these issues. If you do not want to allow admin to access messages from the backend or the information about them, then remove that functionality completely. You have made it very clear in the description that you have a pro version. You don’t need to cripple the plugin functionality to force the upgrade.

  • Next time, try waiting more than 5 minutes for the plugin developer to respond to your support topic.

and the plugin’s page clearly states:

    Pro Features

To enjoy other premium features of this plugin, Buy Pro version for just $20 USD. Pro version has following features:

This does not contravene any guidelines on www.remarpro.com.

Please excuse me, but I addressed two separate issues. One a support issue and one a review based on the rules. There is no need for you to jump in here at this point. I think there should be a limit to the extent of gatekeeping here.

The support thread was referred to because the developer seems to forget the support forums. Please refer to the last time he responded to a support thread. I think that would have been 10 months ago.

I am referring to the functions of the plugin. Are you saying that because the developer has placed that (which I also referenced in my review) in the description on www.remarpro.com, he can disregard the guidelines in the plugin? If this is the case, please update the guidelines. Thanks

    EDIT

For clarification, in case I wasn’t clear. I’m not referring to the advertisement in the description on www.remarpro.com. I’m referring to the limitations placed within the plugin that is installed on a site.
