• I’ve had to switch to a different theme temporarily because any attempts to maintain my site or make any changes to my Static Front Page would cause “Critical Errors” on my site and shut it down entirely. I’ve spent several days back and forth with Dreamhost tech support trying to track down the cause of the issue and they tracked it down to something broken within the BoldGrid themes (“Florentine” also causes the same error).

I’d like to get back to using Crio! Help, please?

  • Hi @teequillin2,

Thanks for reaching out although I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with your Crio theme!

We’re you able to enable wp-debug on your website and get any further details about the error? I think that would be the first step in resolving this issue.

Also do you remember if any changes were made to your WordPress site before experiencing the error? This could have been a PHP or WordPress core update, or even adding a new plugin to site, theme update… etc?

Thanks @teequillin2! We look forward to hearing from you and assisting you further with this.

@brandonco Thanks for the reply! I didn’t have any debugging system set up at the time, but I did finally get one up and running and have the logs ready to go. I have the immediate logs in question, but do I post them here? What’s the protocol for getting those to you?

The only major changes that would have been made would have been the automatic updates to WordPress itself, all updates to plugins and themes are handled manually so I can go through and see if there are any reports of major errors or things before they are upgraded. That having been said, most of my plugins were out of date, so I updated all of them thinking that one of them might have been the cause of the issue, but it didn’t change anything when I made the updates.

The good folks at Dreamhost even went so far as to do an uninstall/reinstall of my WordPress installation on my server thinking that some files might have become corrupted or something, but that didn’t change anything, either. When I have the Crio (or Florentine) theme running and the BoldGrid plugins running, I am unable to access the edit screen of my Static Home Page. Switching to a different theme allows me that access with no issues, but the moment I reactivate any of the BoldGrid themes, the same issue rears its ugly head again.

Let me know how it is best to handle these log files. (It’s not a lot of data, btw…)

    Thanks,

    Tee

CRIO has completely messed up by blog too! Other themes work, this is ridiculous as I even have premium and yet to find a solution. I was told its my blog, but its CRIO! all other themes work!

    Hi @teequillin2,

I apologize for the delayed response. It would be awesome if you could use Pastebin to copy/paste your logs. That way you can create a link to paste into the forum here for us to review.

You can exclude any personal data from your logs that you do not wish to be displayed in the public forum as well.

We look forward to hearing from you and again we do apologize for the delayed response. If you can get those logs over we’ll have an answer for you as soon as possible.

    Hi @divineenergy,

I’m sorry to hear your having issues as well. If you could reach out to BoldGrid Support directly we would be more than happy to take a deeper dive into your specific issue.
