Credits in Modularity

I am pulling my hair out trying to modify the Credits section in my Modularities footer. I am pretty “new” at making changes and by using Inspect Elements, can find where to make some limited changes. Unfortunately they seem to be global and end up affecting the other areas as well. I am hoping to reduce the font and remove the “subscribe” portion of the text in the “credits” of my footer. I have been sucsessful at making changes to other areas. Now I realise I have to go back and do it in all in child theme. URGGGh! so much time. I guess I should leave well enough alone but it sounded so straight forward. Now I’m determined to get it right. I really like the way Modularity looks in other blogs I have seen but they have ALL had customization to them, especially to the font sizes

any guidance would be appreciated.
