    I had a few customers who had trouble paying with credit card (via the square app) and either I have lost sales or they used paypal instead. Today was another lady saying that every time she tried to pay an error message ‘page does not exist’ came up. So she tried a four times and actually three times her order was processed and her card charged while one came back with ‘payment failed’ (her first attempt – weirdly I got an email notification but it didn’t show as a failed order in the website dashboard?).

    I have just updated to the last version of square, but had payment issues for a while even when the last version had just been released. can anyone look into this pls? I have contacted WooCommerce who have advised that Square wld have to look into this

  • Yup – same problems for us. Kinda worrying that for such an important part of a website (payments) the support is so slow.

    We have been seeing some issues with payments. We will need to know a bit more information – is this happening with particular cards, or with particular customers in certain areas (such as the East Coast of the U.S., etc)?

    Please let us know some more information so we can pinpoint what is going on and get this fixed up!

    Hi Mike, sorry for not responding earlier, I have been unwell… So far I only had one more customer pay with card and that went through ok. The failed transactions before where from different people mostly in Western Australia. I can’t recall seeing what cards they used, think it only stated credit card. However, I know now where to go to see if this can be resolved, so I will check in here if it happens again and I will for sure have more info then. Thank you so much for your help!

    Today I had another unhappy customers over the credit card function, see her comments below

    ‘I cannot believe this – I was told the credit no was not valid – also that the page also was not working. Hence my email a few seconds agob’day

    The order however was placed normally and I didn’t even have a ‘failed order’ email.

    Thinking about this, I had something similar happen late last year, when the customer was told the same but was paying with Afterpay. She then placed two orders by accident believing that the first one wasn’t successful. Then as well I didn’t get a notification for a failed order.

    In both instances the ordered stock was low/out of stock. Unsure if this might be part of the problem?
