    Hi,

We’re using WooPayments for a few years and everything was working fine. But two days ago we have noticed that there are no orders paid by credit card (and they are the main payment option on our website). We noticed that there are no credit card fields showing anymore when the customer chooses card field. If you reload the page the fields are visible but if you select paypal or bank transfer and then select credit card again – the fields disappear.

Everything was working fine all this time, we haven’t added any new plugins or changed anything lately. We tried updating all the plugins and the theme but noting worked.

Can you please help with this issue? I’m sending screenshot here – https://analogni-zvuk.hr/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Screenshot_missing-fields.png.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello @foxdizajn,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re facing an issue with the credit card fields not showing on your checkout page. This is not a common issue, and it’s strange that it started occurring without any changes or additions to your plugins.

Are you able to confirm that you’re on the latest version of WooPaments, version 8.4.0? If you’re not, I recommend updating to the latest version and checking if the issue persists.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, we have the latest version – 8.4.0 – updated today after figuring out the problem and trying to solve it. The problem however showed up before the update. But the update of the WooPaymets or the WooCommerce did not help with the issue.

The only change to the website was adding new products. But like I said, everything worked great since we implemented WooPayments on our webshop.

    Hi again @foxdizajn,

Thank you for sharing further information on this. From my understanding, this issue appeared randomly after adding new products to your store. And updating your WooPayments plugin did not help solve this issue.

As a next step, I recommend running a conflict test as detailed in this guide. This will help rule out any possible plugin/theme conflicts. Please be sure to have a full site backup in place in case you’d like to restore your site to a previous point.

Let us know if this helps.

    Hi,

Well yes, the issue appeared randomly, but we are adding new products almost everyday and everything worked fine until a few days ago. So I don’t think that adding products caused this problem.

We tried to find conflicts as you suggested, but with no luck.

The problem is still here – credit card input fields are not appearing when you select credit card payment option. If the page is reloaded, credit card input fields appear but then suddenly disappear if you select other payment option and then go back to selecting credit card payment again.

We tried to reverse the plugin to the previous version when everything worked ok, but with no change – the problem was still here. So we updated it again to the latest version.

Can you please help? You can recreate the issue by adding some product from the shop to cart and proceed to checkout. Select “Credit Card/Debit Card” as the payment gateway. Sometimes the credit card option is selected by default and the fields are showing. But then again, if you select other payment option and then go back to selecting credit card payment again, there are no input fields anymore.

    Thank you!

    Hello foxdizajn,

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked your site and noticed several JS errors which could be causing the issue.

Would it be possible for you to disable all the plugins except WooCommerce and WooPayments and switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-Four? Then allow me to perform a few tests on the site.

If this is not feasible on the live site, then I suggest creating a staging site.
Let me know what works best for you. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi,

I tried to create a staging site, but unfortunately, we don’t have enough disk space on our hosting plan to create it. It is not possible at this time to pay for the bigger hosting plan.

I tried to disable all non essential plugins one by one (all plugins that i could disable without affecting the site, like elementor) and check if the problem was gone but with no luck – the problem was still there.

We have customers every day on our site and we wouldn’t like to do what you suggested on the live site. I’m sorry for the complications. Is there any other way we could see what is causing this problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi there!

I understand your concern. If you’d prefer not to make changes on your live site, you could try installing the Health Check plugin. Once it’s activated, you can use it to disable all plugins on your site except for WooCommerce to see if the issue persists.

If the issue continues even with other plugins deactivated, please try switching to the default Storefront theme and check if the problem still occurs.

With the Health Check plugin, you can safely disable plugins and switch themes without affecting the live site.

Let me know how that goes.

Thank you very much for your help!

I’ve tried to disable all the plugins and then enable them one by one with a Health Check plugin. I’ve detected a conflict with our plugin for a local parcel machine delivery. We are trying to find a solution directly with their IT service.

Thank you again for your time and help, I really appreciate it!

That’s great to hear! Since further support will be provided by the plugin support, I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved.
