Hi,

I am having two problems with this pugin while trying to use it with Finnish language. These problems are present with our production server and also a fresh site installed to debug these problems.

1. When checking out with credit card option enabled the default location is set to US despite the shop location and site default language being set to Finland. When the credit card icon is clicked the credit card fields open up normally. However when you change your location to finland you get an endless loading time on most of the credit card fields.

Note: This only seems to be a problem with selecing Finland as the location. I tried it out with multiple other contries like Sweden, Uk, German and France and they all worked well. It seems to be only Finland that is having this problem.

2. When clicking on the pay with paypall on checkout the customer is redirected to US language paypal page when it should go to the Finnish one (site default language is set to Finnish).

Tested also with setting site language to swedish and franch and they both redirect to the swedish and franch paypal pages as they should.

Bottom line: As both problems appears only to be happening while Finland is used as the wordpress default language im assuming these problems are somewhat related. As US is the default fall back language when using paypal checkout option im feeling like there might be something wron with the language codes?

I also did not have the credit card problem before when i first started to use this plugin but can’t tell for sure what version was the last one the fields worked with.

All tests have been done under a fresh WP installation

Thanks again for the detailed description of the behavior you’re seeing. While I could not replicate the problem with endless loading upon selecting Finland as the country in the checkout page, I did notice that a proper locale is not selected for multiple languages: Finnish, Japanese etc.

I also see a similar report being worked on by the devs in https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/issues/611

Can you please reconfirm if the description matches the behavior you’re seeing?

If i remember it right in our case the issue was for FI local code missing from https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/blob/80a2c174879dc30bd38dc565a6a9df85c744c678/includes/class-wc-gateway-ppec-settings.php#L24

This could be fixed with the following:
```
add_filter('woocommerce_paypal_express_checkout_paypal_locale','set_default_language_paypal_express');

function set_default_language_paypal_express()
{
    return 'fi_FI';
}
```
