    Hi
I’m trying to create a page-template, that is pretty similar like the Standardtemplate (split sidebars right end left ..) i.e. teh “admiral theme”, with just a few changes.
So I created the template file (within a child-theme directory) with the correct header and copied the code from the page.php to have a base for my changes …
When I assgin the template to a page, it looks completely different (no split sidebars .. etc.).
I assume, that is, because somehow the information about columns etc. gets lost, but how do I solve this ?
(I hope, my english is good enough to make this clear ?? )
    Brgds

You’ve marked your topic as resolved. This is sometimes in error when a topic has no replies, we’re just double checking. If it is truly resolved, would you mind sharing what the solution was? It could help others facing a similar situation. Thanks.

If it was marked resolved in error, let us know and we’ll try to get a solution for you.

    Thanks, for you asking.
No, it is not “in error”. I just made a mistake by typing (c&P) that was tricky to find. So it was “simply” a typing-error.
But it brought me to further questions, I will ask asap.
    Tnx again

TBH, part of why I asked is to take your topic off the “no replies” list a lot of us regulars use to find people needing help. Should you find yourself in a similar situation in these forums in the future, simply adding another reply along the lines of “Never mind, stupid typo error” would be helpful. Not a big deal, but if you happen to remember to do so it’d be great. Thanks.
