    Hello WordPress World!

I’m trying to create a child theme off of Raindrops so that I can keep the header/footer graphic bars and change the footer text (I’m keeping the Raindrops copyright notice!), but I cannot seem to get the theme to work properly. All I have done is create the “raindrops-child” directory with a very simple “style.css” file, but the menus in my child theme don’t work at all. I’ve also tried to create a “functions.php” file with a wp-enqueue-style call, but my child theme still seems to be broken.

I’m not a WordPress guru by any stretch of the imagination, so I could use a little help here…

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the sample, but I tried using this and got the same results: The menus on the screen were completely messed up. The sub-menus and hidden menu items all showed up on the main screen. Any idea what may have caused this?

when theme change, need You must re-select the menu ‘primary’

If this is the first time you install the word press, the menu, a list of the page appears. You need to create a new menu.

    Thank you.

This did fix the menu problem, but now my header images are getting cut off/cropped at the bottom. I tried resizing to 950 x 147, but the image is still getting cut off, not sure why. This happens when using either the child theme or parent theme. Any suggestions?

Thank you for all the support!

Please Image resize 1280px x198px and re upload.

    When upload, ‘No cropped’.

    ( Current Page width 1280px )

    Thank you.

Looks like that fixed it. Is this the standard size for header images in Raindrops now?

    Thanks for the help!
