Creating Post and selecting Author

On our site, when we create a post, we can select the author from a drop-down list. For some reason, the last two authors we created did not appear on the drop-down list. Both authors can login and post directly from their profiles, but as an admin, I cannot create a post and select them. I can select all authors created prior to these two.

Is there some sort of limit I’m unaware of?
