The site I’m working was created with a “plain” permalink structure, which is right for most of the pages and posts in the site.

So I do not want to change the permalink settings, but I would like to also allow for a few specific pages to have a pretty link:

for instance a page https://mysite.org/?page_id=3115, that could be called also as https://mysite.org/archive

I tried many help pages, as well as one plugin (Permalink Manager Lite), but was not able to accomplish the above.

Could you help me with this questions:
    1. If I change the site permalink setting to “post-name” will the “plain” link still work? or all the original links will be broken?

    2. If the above brakes the links – how could I get some specific pages to have pretty permalinks for a few pages under the plain settings ?

    Thanks for your help,
    Marcos
