Hi Experts, I am sure this was already discussed but unfortunately couldnt find one in the forum or google since last 2 days.

I recently moved from SMF to wordpress. I want to create a new page and link it to wordpress. Like a sample page tracker.php with mysql db connection and some advance javascripting. It has forms as well to pass input. The problem is i didnt get any example how to do it in wordpress.

Is there any tutorial online which tells how and where to create this new file (tracker.php) and sample codes on how this can connect to mysql db to insert/retrieve values from db and it appears under the menu, so when i click on tracker link in the header menu it goes to this tracker.php? Since everything is automated in wordpress creating a new page seems to be bit difficult (atleast for now).

    Many thanks.

Sorry, i realized that this was a very old topic. I found in youtube exactly what was needed to build a custom page. And how to add mysql queries into the page. Boy, its pretty simple in WP isnt it!
