Creating links in WP with unpublished material

Will appreciate any advice on how to create links in WP with unpublished material. This is something that I am able to do easily with DW .
For instance, I create folder called Books in my DW site and then take a word from it, let’s say ‘Title’ and then create a link with the word title and then drop it as an excerpt on the contact page etc.
Now whenever someone clicks on the word ‘Title’ it pulls up the whole book etc.
Alternatively, how do I drop a copyright link/shortcut on the bottom of my web page and have it link back to the full copyright document when someone clicks on it. It’s a little confusing for me in WP since most things have to published. I have tried it in draft mode without any luck.
