Creating Languages in Polylang Issue

I’ve run into a strange issue with polylang on one of my sites. If I try to add English as a language, English shows up twice in the list of languages (one will have the code of ‘en’ the other the code of ‘pll_en’ I cannot delete or edit either of these. Clicking either of them brings be back to the default languages page.

If I add my second language, french, I am given 3 separate french languages in the list (one with the ‘fr’ code, the other two with ‘pll_fr’) and a third english also with the ‘pll_en’ code. Also two ‘uncategorized’ languages appear in the list. None of them can be edited or removed. Only way to get rid of them is to delete the entire database and re-import it. This still does not fix the issue, it just gets rid of all the languages, until I attempt to re add them, causing the same issue.

Worse part, all of these languages show up in the language dropdown list for posts, widgets, pages etc. So I essentially cannot use the plugin.

Any insight?
