Creating language versions of a site

  • is there a way to create a “duplicate” site in another language?
    I want to have icons in a corner somewhere so that visitors can change the page into a preferred language – and then the menu should also be shown in the new language.
    is this possible or do I need create a new site for each language and interlink between the two?
