    Bunch of BS stress….

Sequential numbering stops working for “ZERO” apparent reason and it’s assigning the same number to any orders coming in which means they can’t pay for them.

There were zero changes done to the site between orders. Orders coming in when I go to bed and I wake up to new orders all given the same order number and none of them paid for.

Great way to wake up on a Monday morning.

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear about your issues. As this is the issue I have never seen before – if possible please create/share an admin account to your server so I could login and check what’s going on. My email is [email protected].
And did you try to disable Booster plugin? The issue disappears then?

    Best regards,
    Tom

When I reactivated the plugin the numbering came back but still with the duplicates.

I deleted the dups, changed the start number manually and it started working again.

I have no idea what happened nor do I know why it is working again.

Thanks for letting us know. Not sure if it is related to your problem, but earlier we had a user with shop making thousands orders per day. He used “Order Numbers” module with sequential numbers enabled. In that store if customers made orders at the same time – sometimes orders with same order number were created. That issue was fixed by adding “Use MySQL Transaction” option to the module (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Booster > Shipping & Orders > Order Numbers”). Again, not sure if it is the same issue, doesn’t really look the same…

    Best regards,

In my case there was 3 copies of one order number.

The first copy by one person and then the next 2 copies by 1 individual with the same number as the first copy. Those 2 second ones we not able to be paid because of the duplicate number.

I call the customer…he tried to order twice and the same thing happened so he gave up. We worked it out but none-the-less still don’t know what caused it and I didn’t look at the time stamps to see if they could have been done at the same time.

Again this doesn’t look like it, as the orders must be created at the exact same moment, even on site I mentioned earlier with thousands of orders per day, it happened very rarely. However you could enable “Use MySQL Transaction” option I mentioned earlier – it shouldn’t make things worse.

Please let me know if issue reappears, I’ll be more that happy to look in to it.

    Best regards,
    Tom
