Does not create contacts from form submissions – contact list stays blank, when I click email link (it does send emails with tracking) it says “Creating default object from empty value” (/leadin/admin/inc/class-leadin-contact.php on line 175).

    Using Gravity Forms.

    Hi Trenton –

So sorry about the issues here… I thought I took care of this bug in a previous version of Leadin but it looks like I missed a few of the empty object warnings. I’ll try to fix the rest of these this week and will get a fix out this week. Thank you for the bug report and the content from the error. That really helps us get to the root of the issue quickly.

As for the contacts list staying blank, do you mind sending support@leadin.com a link to your form so I can take a look? We try to seamlessly work with as many form plugins as possible, but given the infinite variations between our user’s WordPress servers with all the different PHP, MySQL and WordPress versions along with a nearly infinite amount of plugin combinations that could be installed we run into issues from time to time.

Up until a couple weeks ago our entire team was two people, myself and one other person, handling all the support, marketing, designing and coding for the plugin. It’s been admittedly tough to built a 100% bullet-proof product while still handling the business-aspects of the product, but I can assure you we’re trying our best and sorry for the issues. We know that’s not an excuse though, and people expect products to work 100% of the time without any issues even if it’s free, so we recently brought on three more engineers who are much more technically skilled than the original team founders to really dive into making the backend of the plugin rock solid.

Thanks for your patience and letting us know about these issues in a nice way, even if that came in the form of a low-rated review. We really do appreciate the feedback and promise to get all the kinks in Leadin worked out soon.

    Hey Trenton –

I just wanted to follow up that this should be 100% fixed in Leadin 3.1.6. I ended up writing a wrapper for the API and meticulously going through all the code to make sure that these errors won’t occur anymore. Thanks for reporting the issue and sticking with us while we continue to improve Leadin.

    Cheers,
    – Andy

    Hey Andy,

Thank you for your hard work and terrific support!

I might have another curved ball for you, an expanding, self-rewriting dynamic instance of Gravity Forms with honeypot enabled… all inside of a modal jQuery popup. I’ll give Leading another spin once Avada team releases a theme update (as it will cause some quality “maintenance” time anyway), which will happen in a few weeks.

    All the best,
    Trenton Talbot

That does sound like a curveball – hopefully we can figure out the pitch and knock it out of the park.

Let me know if you run into any glitches once you get that theme update.
