Creating custom homepage

  • I’ve seen several wordpress themes where for the homepage, the user doesnn’t go to “Pages” instead under theme options they can make changes. It’s a lot easier for the user, as this allows for a more dynamic page.

    Is there a good tutorial that explains how to do this? I’m really interested in learning to do something like this myself. I’d use Google. but I’m not sure of what to search for.
