The easiest, would be to use one of the two available templates which have a grid-like layout. They are:

    Gridder
    Tile Plus

The Showcase page uses the Gridder template with the SiteShot extension. The template is slightly tweaked to show the web address rather than the bio excerpt though.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. I am using the forked responsive theme and will not be changing… anyway to use some sort of page layout shortcodes? This is for a list of food truck vendors.

Maybe I could create a category – vendors A-M and put that on the left side and then create category – vendors N-Z and put them on the right half. Are there connection shortcodes like that where I can place a certain category somewhere and not have filtering at the top..?

    Thx!

You do not have to change themes to use a template for Connections. They are completely different. The templates for Connections only affect the display and function of the directory, not the whole site like a theme. Put another way, you keep your theme and add the template for the directory. Hope that helps.

I suppose that could be done too, you would need to come up with you own CSS to put them side by side. The shortcode options for Connections can be found on this page. The category shortcode option is what you would want.
