Creating Child Theme

Hmmm. It says that if all I’m doing is adding CSS or PHP, a child theme might not be necessary.

I haven’t used the WP Additional CSS field, just the Customizer options. And instead of Simple CSS Plugin, I have used Code Snippets Plugin (for both CSS and one shortcode).

I won’t be using these style customizations on any other site either.

Does that mean that I don’t need to create a child theme?

Child Themes are only necessary if you want to edit or add your own theme templates.

If you’re writing 100’s of lines of CSS or adding lots of complicated functions you may want to move them to a child theme.

If not then carry on as you are and don’t worry about child themes.

Ok great, ‘coz I really couldn’t figure out how to make them! ??
