Creating "channels" on a blog (i.e., super-categories)

I want to create a blog with multiple “channels” or content. Basically, I want to emulate sites like https://www.mashable.com or https://www.businessinsider.com. I want to be able to click on a “channel” name (like I was clicking on the “Social Media” link in the Mashable header) and change the content, categories, and colors of the “home” page.

Is there a theme or plug-in that will let me do this?
