Creating Categorys and sub categorys

Still not quite getting it.

I can create the category’s and sub category′s ok just cant get them to appear on screen as drop down menus.

Example for my page https://www.BackpackersGuideToThailand

Category Bangkok..all is fine..Just cant get the About to be added as a Sub category within the same parent category of Bangkok.

I have gone through the process of Adding the Sub category in the add new category section and selected Bangkok as the parent category.

Using wordpress 3.5 with Spectrum theme by woo themes.

I am trying to create drop down menues for each category listed below the photo of the buddha..

I can create the sub category′s ok in wordpress just the drop down menu containing the sub categorys does not appear on the web page.

Trying to publish one there should be one in Chiang mai (Parent)–>About Chiang Mai.

Drop down menu under Cchiang mai does not appear containing the post.

You’re using a custom menu at the moment. You’d have to add items to the menu manually. I thought you were referring to a dropdown as described in the Codex.

What do you mean by custom menu? (using wp for just 5 days)

P.S computer programming and codex just confuses me, is there not a user friendly way of doing it? or a plug in? or a tool?
