• Hi.
So this where I am…I am trying to add a second completely new WP blog (look and feel) to my server.
I have registered and added an ‘add-on’ sub-domain name on my c-panel and it is showing up in a folder in my c-panel under the public_html.

Do I now go ahead and install WP into this folder? Is there anything else I should do/know? I really do want this second installation to mess with my primary in any way.

Go easy on me, I am still learning.
    Thanks in advance.
    ESP.

  • You should be alright installing in that sub-domain’s folder. See Installing Multiple Blogs just in case.

With a BlueHost addon domain, yes, you just need to install in that folder. The path would be something like public_html/addondomain. Installing there will make it so when you go to your domain, eg. addondomain.com, it will show the website you installed there. You can also use Simple Scripts to install it for you. Just go to the Software/Services section in the cPanel and click Simple Scripts, select WordPress and the domain you want to install it on, and then install.
