    Hi,

I couldn’t see a template for an archive page (for blog posts) in Sketch. Is there a way to do this? With custom CSS where you can change the options for what categories are displayed?

Also, is there a way to put some category links at the top of the blog roll (not as a widget) – so that they stay there like a pinned tweet?

Very grateful for any help, thanks heaps.

    Sheona

  • Hi Sheona,

Could you share a link to your archive page so we can have a look?

    Hi,

No because I don’t have one! I’m asking how to make one. I have a normal blog page/roll here: https://www.shospace.co.uk/notebook/

But after 10 years, it now has so many entries I want to make a separate page with links to separate categories, or highlights of a particular subject. Like a contents page where you can navigate to different subjects.

If I can’t do that easily, then my next-best idea was to ask how I might have the equivalent of a categories widget at the top of the blog roll (sidebar widgets are not good for looking at the website on a phone).

    Thanks,
    Sheona

    Can anyone help here?

@sheona have you considered using category links? Basically you’d set up a custom menu with category links. There’s a how-to here, though it might be slightly different for your installation:

You could also consider using a block that shows posts from a category. Depending on how many posts you have, this may do:

@supernovia Thanks so much! That’s been a brilliant help, and got me sent off in the right direction.

    Just the job!

I’m glad to hear that helped. Cheers!
