https://www.sixtiesomething.com/ is my working template. Once I get everything right, I will transfer the database to the real url. I’m trying to make a homepage that introduces everyone to the blog but isnt a post where people can comment on it. Is there a way to do this? My guess is to create a page (home/about) and then redirect the URL to goto that page once people put in sixtiesomething.com.

    I’m still reading the documentation.

    thanks

Create two Pages. One with the content you want for the welcome page, and another with no content at all, but which has a URL like /blog or something.

Go to the Settings->Reading screen, and set it to have those two pages as the front page and the blog posts page, respectively.

    Done and done.
