Creating a Static Frontpage

Hi All!

I’ve done some reading on the forum and I have learned how to create a static frontpage (Settings -> Reading). I want the static webpage to feature on martijnboersma.com however, and not on a page like martijnboersma.com/home or martijnboersma.com/welcome for example.

I would like the frontpage to serve as a click-through page, like on gladwell.com.

Any ideas? Thanks!
