• Hey everyone! On my homepage I want a single post to be static and be the first post on the page. All the other posts on the home page will come after the static post. I tried WP-sticky but I don’t know how to get the post to always be the first post!

    Thanks!

  • yea i tried wp sticky also and cant get it to work. I need to have a static post also.

This is now built into WP 2.7+ First uninstall wp-sticky.

Then edit the post you want to make sticky. In the Publish section, click on Visibility to open it. Then click Stick This Post To The Front Page and update the post. Post should now be sticky.

This seems to only work on the posts page when the default query is not being modified at all.
