Creating a Second Gallery

I just took over handling our web site and I don’t have past experience with WordPress, but I’m slowly figuring things out. I need to know how to create a gallery. Not a thumbnail gallery, or “upload/insert” gallery, but an actual gallery like we already have displayed. I want a few separate galleries to display separate things, so I need to create a replica, but with different pictures. The gallery I want to make a replica of has three columns, two rows. It displays each photo static and when you hover over the photos, a black bar is displayed at the bottom of each image with the name of what it is, and a magnifying glass to zoom in, which open the image in a slideshow with a next button. I tried searching for a way to copy and paste the code of the existing gallery into a new page with no luck. I’m at a loss of what I should do or the next step that I should take.
