• I’m looking to have just one of my pages without a sidebar and header, with everything else the same.

I know I can do this by making a template, but how do I get that template to load for whichever page I’ve created it for? Example… site.com/new_page.

  • When you are writing your “new_page” (in the default Dashboard set up) on the right hand side of the Page | Add new screen is the “Attributes” box.

In there you should see a drop-down for Template; just pick the one you want to use. Just make sure the custom page template is in the active theme folder.

Also, if you change themes you will need to re-create/copy your custom templates into the new active theme folder.

Ah cool… I had no idea that was there.

    That’s a big help… thanks!

Ok actually I don’t see this anywhere in there, lol.

Only thing under “attributes” is page order and page parent.

Any idea where else it may be?

EDIT: Ok apparently this option doesn’t appear until I’ve created the template… will see what happens.

… this option doesn’t appear until I’ve created the template …

My bad, I should have mentioned that, too.

    No problem.

Thanks for the help anyway… still helped me get started.

I created the template and it showed up there right away.
