• I am using a plugin for a contact form and I just activate the plugin and then create a page and add this code on a new page [si-contact-form form='1']
Can I have this hardcoded in the theme instead? I would just have an extra page (mydomain.com/contact) with the code already there. How can I do this? Thanks

  • What is your goal in doing that? Seems like it would take something simple and make it more complicated.

The idea is not having to create a page in the dashboard – I just have a file that I upload with my theme. I have 60 pages that got deleted so I want to get rid of this step. Shall I just change my page.php file and save it in a new folder as contact?

No, that won’t work. You would have to create the pages in admin. Just uploading php templates won’t do anything if there aren’t pages that refer to the templates.

    OK thanks.
