• Hey guys,

Ok so basically, i have tried Elementor, beaver, and many many editors and im not a fan of this “click and drag” box thing to be honest, i get the simplicity, but its also extremely restrictive in a way.

I want to know how i can just get a simple editor, back in the day you would edit a page and it would be like a word document with a ribbon bar and you would have full control of what goes were.

And how to make a page the “landing page”, so users see it straight up.

  • Hello,

I personally find the new (Gutenberg) BLOCK editor as a good balance between the wild west of 3rd-party pagebuilder plugins and the blank slate of the old (classic) editor.

But if even the Gutenberg’s block builder is too much complication for you, you could go back to the old blank editor by installing the Classic Editor plugin

The BLANK SLATE plugin creates a page template giving you a blank page so only the content of the page is displayed. Header and footer are totally empty. Just create or edit a page and assign it the “Blank Slate” template.

Note that this is NOT a page builder or even a typical landing/squeeze page builder. This plugin does NOT create any content itself… it simply gives you a blank slate to display the content of ANY page you’ve already written, devoid of site header, footer, sidebar or even branding.

Good luck with your WordPress website project!
