My client (bar/restaurant) would like to maintain an online menu. I’d like to have fairly strict control over the html and restrict them to just filling in fields like “entree”, “description”, “price” etc. Is there an easy way to do this? I’m new to wordpress and I know some PHP, but not a pro. Is this a job for custom fields? Doesn’t seem like they’re quite powerful enough for this or maybe i’m not getting their use…

  • Hi bcamp,
I can’t see any reason why this wouldn’t be doable. You could use the title for entrees, the excert for price and the post area for description. Or more appropriately you could use a custom field for the price, in fact they would suit the price field quite well.

    Hope this helps,
    Chet
