• Greetings,

I would like to create a feature box that increases numbers for our nonprofit newsletter. The box will be full page width directly under the homepage header. In addition, I need segregate a subset of pages that are not accessible without signing up to be a member. I have the plus bundle of Givewp and am hoping someone will please make a strong recommendation.

    Thanks everyone!

    Matthew

  • Hi @matthewlennartz — I’m Head of Support at GiveWP. Ther’s a lot of ways to do that potentially, but most of them involve your theme supporting that, or custom coding it.

But with regard to protecting the pages based on whether they donated or not, here’s my suggestion:

    1) Use a content restriction plugin like “Members”, or “Groups” to control which user-roles can view those pages.
    2) Use “User Role Editor” to create a unique user role
    3) Then in Give, set your default user role to that new user role you created with “User Role Editor”. Then enable the Registration feature of your Give form. That will mean that all your donors get assigned that user role when they donate.

I did a webinar all about user roles in WordPress and with Give which has links to tons of resources:
    https://givewp.com/give-live-user-roles-capabilities/

Check that out and let me know if you have additional questions at all. Thanks!
