Creating a custom install of WP

Hi, I’ve just read an instersting article on creating a custom wordpress install.php file that can give you a clean wordpress install without the usual wordpress links and pages to delete.

The method works great. I want to know if there are ways of changing the default settings, such as specifying a custom permalink structure to start with, specifying that the front page is a static page called Home and the blog is a static page called Blog … does anyone know a trick to do this?
