• I run a WordPress services company that provides hosting, Security, maintenance, conversion, & other services. I need to create a client/billing portal where my customers can pay for their services, order new services, get support, view analytics, etc.
    I use Piwik for analytics.
My goal is to create a portal that is 100% WordPress, no third party software like WHMCS or BoxBilling.
Now, I know there are things like WP-client portal plugin, S3 Member, WP-Symposium, etc. But my experience with each is limited. So what I am asking for here is your thoughts on best ways to accomplish my goals above. Have you used any of these plugins? Others? What did you like/not like about them?

  • Hi there. The question is in quality of the portal.
Using these plugins is great, but very limited experience, especially when your business is evolving.
I see that you would like to use only wordpress, so why don’t use third party companies to create for you something you want? On wordpress as you wanted it. Check this link, if you are interesting. https://www.clonewebsite.org/how-to-develop-a-room-rent-website/
I hope you will like it and that’s what you needed.

I have considered having a custom built plugin designed for this purpose. It is one of mayn options I am looking at, however, it is also a very expensive option & I am not really sure I canafford it at this point.
As for the link you sent: while I appreciate the suggestion, I am not sure how it helps. I do not want to clone WHMCS, Boxbilling, or anything else. I want a customer portal that jives with the reset of my site.
Secondly, I do not see how you say these plugins would be limiting. What they can’t do, can be done with other plugins/custom pages. I do not want bloat from features my customers do not need or want.
