• I’m looking at using a framework like WooCommerce for a client site. They effectively have a shopfront but without the online basket/payment stuff.

So I’m looking at WooCommerce as a pretty good solution for this.

However, they also want to have “category homepages”. So instead of just clicking through to a sub-category listed under a category and seeing a listing of products, they are able to click on the category heading to produce a homepage with a set of images that in turn link to each sub-category.

They want to be able to create their own pretty sub-category images including the name of the sub-category (although I recommend text beneath or overlaying the image) and upload to create a tile or similar arrangement of images.

They are using Tiffany as their example. So clicking through to the “engagement” category generates this page:

    https://www.tiffany.co.uk/engagement

Lots of nice images (and more) which each click through the sub-category of products.

Is this something that can be achieved via a plugin of some sort or is it a bespoke build?
