• I use the normal plugin “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway” for years, all working well

There is a big red message in my WordPress admin in the plugin page:

`Action Required: Switch to WooCommerce PayPal Payments

As of 1 Sept 2021, PayPal Checkout is officially retired from WooCommerce.com, and support for this product will end as of 1 March 2022.

We highly recommend upgrading to PayPal Payments, the latest, fully supported extension that includes all of the features of PayPal Checkout and more.`

    So I clicked

Then it asked me to login into PayPal, click a few steps, then I got a message from PayPal “Operation not accepted, try again in 90 days”

    90 days, lol!

Everything is in order in my PayPal account, and the normal plugin “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway” is working well, so I will just forget about this new plugin “WooCommerce PayPal Payments”

    Hello Joost,

Then it’s the PayPal connection that is asked by this plugin that is not standard

It asked for “advanced debit and credit card payments”, which seems to be something specific on PayPal side

PayPal payments are working well with the plugin “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway” and my company PayPal account, without asking anything more to PayPal

    Kind regards

    Hello @doobeedoo

yes, that sounds correct: the “advanced debit and credit card payments” functionality is an advanced function that provides more options and better security for the Card payment option within our plugin. The older plugins do not have this feature, thus you don’t need any additional terms and conditions to be accepted for them.

If you choose the Standard Card Processing option in our plugin, this option will be replaced by the card payment option that is available in the PayPal Standard plugin and you would not need to accept these additional T&C.

If you need further help on this, please open a support thread.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
